What are the goals of this program? This program is designed to help you build the habit of carving out time for your physical, mental and spiritual well-being. And also for your joy. Each day of the challenge includes 3 components: movement, creative expression and mindfulness. By the end of the challenge, my hope is that you will be rooted in the habit of taking time to care for yourself: mind, body and soul.
This program is 1 month long, with 5 sessions per week. If you are working through the challenge during its launch, a new week of content will drop on Monday mornings at 6 AM ET. How you structure your week is completely up to you!
How long should each session take? Each session should take no more than 1 hour total. Each flow class is around 20 minutes, and I recommend spending no more than 15-20 minutes each for the creativity and mindfulness portions of your day. We want to build sustainable habits that will become a part of your routine once the challenge is over, so it’s important to keep things short and sweet.
What do I need to participate? Just you and your mat! I’m aware many people do not have props at home so I’ve made these classes with minimal prop use. Yoga props like blocks and a yoga strap may be helpful for some classes but are not needed.
Are the flow classes suitable for beginners? The classes in this challenge are designed for all-levels. While they are not specifically made for beginners, they can be a good fit for many beginners. If you’re a beginner, make sure to listen to your body over my cues. Breaks and modifications are our friends. Can I do this challenge at home? Yes! This challenge can be done anywhere.
How can I set myself up for success? First, be gentle with yourself and don’t expect perfection! If you miss a session or don’t complete all 3 components on a particular day, just commit to getting back on track the next day. I highly recommend using the program journal to track your completion of the challenge. I also recommend sticking to the 15-20 minute time limits in order to build sustainable habits. It also always helps to share! Post in the community board, post on social media - tell people what you are doing. When we talk about our goals, we’re more likely to follow through.
