Trainer and Martial Arts Instructor

I have been training since I have had the ability to walk. Being raised by a former MLB pitcher in small-town Huntington, WV, my expectations were extremely high for me growing up as I excelled in baseball and football. I picked up my first weight when I was three. I received a baseball and academic scholarship to the University of Charleston. I would later join the likes of my hometown team, the Marshall University Thundering Herd where I would graduate with a Business Degree specializing in Management and Finance. After leaving my job as a Financial Advisor in order to purse my passion, I began studying to obtain my Personal Training and Nutrition Specialist Certifications, both through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). After passing both exams and receiving both certifications, I started my own business as a Personal Trainer where I remain today. My specialties are weight loss, muscle gain, speed and endurance, power, balance, and athletic performance. Namely, kickboxing, baseball, and football.
Goals
Everybody’s goals are different. Establishing goals that are personal to you is what’s important. From fat loss to muscle gain to athletic performance all the way to flexibility and durability, all things can be accomplished through my programming. My ultimate goal is to maximize your genetic potential through a science-based approach to exercise.
Training Requirements
I will provide a variety of workouts for in-home workouts, gym workouts, and even outdoor workouts. If in a gym, obviously membership is required. Barbell may be required. I specifically include this because I know many people attend Planet Fitness. A Smith Machine can be an alternate to some of the barbell-based exercises. Other than that, dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands, and some strength machines and pulley machines may be required for some workouts. Namely, gym-based workouts.
