About Maria Rojas

Yoga Teacher

Hi, I'm Maria! I am a Yoga teacher, humanitarian, I am a yoga teacher, humanitarian, and entrepreneur who is dedicated to serving people, animals, and the planet through environmental service. Yoga has been a major part of my life for over 10 years now. Somewhere along the way it stopped being just a practice and became the thing that kept me sane. I've spent so many years working in corporate, and I know firsthand what it feels like to be exhausted, overscheduled, and running on fumes, low battery, with no real off switch. Yoga was how I found my way back to myself, and teaching it is how I help others do the same. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training and have continued studying ever since — learning so much more about how our bodies and minds work and deepening my understanding across hypermobility, meditation, neurology, office and desk yoga, and a handful of other areas that all point to the same thing: yoga is most powerful when it meets you in your real life, at your real pace. My teaching style lives at the intersection of slow and strong. Some classes are gentle and restorative. Others build a little bit of heat and challenge. All of them are designed to help you slow down enough to feel something in your body, your breath, and your day. The Yoga Tool Kit grew out of that same philosophy. It started with the Desk Yoga Card Deck, a physical tool designed to bring yoga to the place most of us spend the most time; our desks. Simple, accessible, and useful. More yoga tools are on the way that fit into real life. Whether you're brand new to yoga or just looking for a practice that finally feels sustainable, you're in the right place. I'm glad you're here.

Frequently asked questions

What makes this app different?
This app was built around one idea: yoga should work for your real life. Every class is taught by Maria, a yoga teacher who specializes in slow, intentional movement for people who are overworked, overwhelmed, and running on empty. You get guided flows, breathwork, and practical tools you can take off the mat and into your day with fresh content added regularly and a real human you can reach out to directly. Yoga Tools to help you build or add onto your own Yoga Tool Kit.
I’m a beginner, is this for me?
Absolutely. Whether you've never rolled out a mat or you've been practicing for years, there's something here for you. Every class includes modifications, clear cues, and permission to rest whenever you need it. The goal is a practice that fits your body and your life, not the other way around.
Do I need to purchase equipment?
Some space to practice is all you need to get started. A mat, a block, and a strap are always welcome but completely optional. Some classes invite you to grab a pillow or couch cushion for extra support — things you likely already have at home.
Do I need to be flexible to do yoga?
Flexibility is something yoga builds over time, so you can start exactly where you are. These classes are designed for real bodies with tight hips, stiff backs, and busy schedules — and meeting yourself there is the whole point.
How long are the classes? Classes range from 5 to 60 minutes
Classes range from 5 to 60 minutes so you can always find something that fits your schedule. Got 10 minutes before work? There's a flow for that. Have a full hour on a slow Sunday? There's one for that too.
