Functional fitness was a term developed to promote strength training combined with cardiovascular endurance that promotes strength in every day life. The workouts in this program require you to use multiple muscle groups simultaneously so they can work together for daily activities, improved strength, mobility & balance.
Whether you have access to a gym with a barbell, rig, machines etc OR you're an at-homer, you can participate in this program! There will be substitute movements/options for people at home with minimal equipment, and more advanced movements/options for people with access to more equipment or at a higher level. You'll utilize a combination of exercises using: bodyweight movements, barbells, boxes, medicine balls, kettlebells, dumbbells, cardio machines & more.
