When should I do a core workout during my week?
You can perform one or two of these a week either after one of your workouts or on an active rest day. These are meant to be quick circuits to focus on controlling and engaging your core. Having a strong core = strong compound lifts.
How important is it to train core as a circuit?
You should be engaging your core during every movement and workout- not just when you are doing a core circuit. Just like every other muscle/body part, we need to let our core rest and recover. I however love to incorporate a core circuit at the end of one of my workouts ONCE a week to enhance my core strength and prep myself for strong compound lifts.
