I know most of you enjoy pounding the rock (I do too!) but the majority of the game is played off the catch! 

When the ball is brought up the floor it’s typically on the bounce. Once that ball is entered we are now playing “off the catch” - 

Today, we look at ways to becoming more efficient off the catch!

In this workout we focus on:
• Split catches
• Floaters
• Pull ups

Right Hand

Get 10 reps

3 Punch, 3 Control, 3 Pockets = 1 Rep

3 Dribble Series

Left Hand

3 Punch, 3 Control, 3 Pockets = 1 Rep

As we get loose, focus on dropping your hips on the exchange!

Exchange the ball around your knee to keep you accountable to get your hips down!

Make sure that your feet are back squared before the dribble comes out again!

Split Catch Knee Wraps

In the segment we break down a “Split Catch” and show you how to be more explosive on the catch.

Make 5 w/ your right hand

• Spin a pass to yourself
• Catch the ball with your feet split
• Explode with 1 dribble
• MIX UP YOUR FINISHES

• Spin a pass to yourself
• Catch the ball with your feet split
• Explode with 1 dribble

Changing direction is a huge part of the game. Today we focus on changing direction before getting to a floater directly in front of the rim.

Attack to the left
Make 5

• Spin a pass to yourself
• Perform a split catch and get into a one dribble BTL skip
• Take an extra dribble and then get into your floater

Skip to Float

Attack to the right
Make 5

• Explode downhill off of a split catch
• BTL skip
• Floater at the rim

Make 5

• Start at the top of the key
• Split catch - attack to the right
• 1 dribble - stop left-right
