Have you ever watched Jamal Crawford attack his defender off the bounce? Or even Kevin Durant? Notice how both tend to bounce laterally before attacking their defender. We refer to this as a “bound” - which is lateral movement that allows you to land in your drop stance so that you keep all of your options open.
