I wanted to go over some very important concepts that many players overlook or don’t think about when training on their own…

1. There will always be repetition when training. There are some things you always have to do. For example, you have to always do a dynamic warm up and you always have to practice your juggling. It’s crucial to establish good habits with yourself and do the things that will help you become the best version of yourself.

2. You are your best coach. If you don’t push yourself, nobody else will. 

3. You have to accurately analyze what you have to improve on. Obviously continue with the basics at all times. But identify areas in your game through game film or filming yourself that you want to work on.

4. When training, actually start to think about why you made a mistake and try to fix it. It’s important to understand and realize why you are making mistakes so you can fix them as soon as possible.

5. Last thing, stay disciplined and consistent. We can often hold ourselves back by not taking action or delaying what we want to do. Create the good habits that will serve you to become the best version of yourself. Take care of your body and your mind on and off the pitch.
