Dribble, Cut In, Skill, Shoot ⚽️

This is a basic shooting drill focusing on speed and technique. Start off slow and then get quicker as you get more comfortable. Try out different skill moves and experiment going to the right and left of the cone defender. 

This drill can be done anywhere in or around the box.

Skill Move to A Shot

Here I am starting at a cone gate about 25-30 yards away from goal. The zig zag is about 5 yards away from this gate. There are 3 cones in the zig zag and then there is a cone “defender” about 5 yards away from the zig zag. Roll the ball or run with the ball to the zig zag, dribble through as fast as you can using one foot or both feet, and then make a move to the right or left of the “defender” and shoot on goal. 

Do this drill about 10-15 times on the left, right and center of the field!

This drill can be done on the left and right side of the field as well as the center of the field.

1 Touch Passing & Dribbling

This exercise is a simple one but very hard on the body so make sure between each repetition, you recover to 100%. Once you are 100%, then you can perform the next repetition.

Do 8 Sprints Without the ball
Do 4 Sprints With the ball on your right foot
Do 4 Sprints With the ball on your left foot

Sprints With & Without Ball ⚽️

This exercise helps you learn how to control the ball when the ball is coming down from above your head. It’s okay if you can only do it once or twice. The way you improve is practicing this over and over again. Take a couple juggles, then hit the ball above your head and try to bring the ball down and continue juggling.

High Juggling

This juggling pattern helps to improve your touch with the different surface areas of your feet. You will gain a ton of confidence and control if you can perform this exercise with ease.
