Born and raised in Colombia, Pilar’s passion for movement started early. From playing soccer and volleyball to taking on rugby and other sports, she grew up with an unstoppable energy and a love for staying active.
In 1999, Pilar brought that same drive to Vancouver, British Columbia. Her competitive spirit soon led her to her first fitness competition — the Sandra Wickham Fitness Short Class Competition — where she proudly placed 2nd. That defining moment fueled her desire to pursue a career in fitness. She knew she wanted to help others experience the joy and empowerment that comes from feeling strong and capable.
Pilar became a certified Personal Trainer and spent three years working with one of the largest fitness corporations. But in 2007, her entrepreneurial spirit took over, and PilarFit Personal Training was born. With a fresh, dynamic approach to workouts and a focus on building both strength and confidence, Pilar quickly earned her reputation as one of Vancouver’s most sought-after trainers.
But Pilar isn’t just a fitness coach — she’s also a mom of three with a crazy busy life. Juggling family, business, and everything in between, she knows firsthand how overwhelming it can be to prioritize fitness. Yet, she’s proof that you can fit it all in — without sacrificing your health or happiness.
