Learn how to effectively split gaps, beat help defenders, and avoid turnovers with the Low Pick Up. One of the most popular moves among High School, College, and NBA players.

*DEMONSTRATION at the END of this clip.* Most common issue among players when performing low pick up. We can’t allow the ball to bounce back up after our last dribble, we have to kill our dribble as soon as the ball hits the ground.

KEY #1- Kill Dribble (Low Pick Up)

Seal your on ball defender with your inside foot on a low pick up  to prevent them from fighting over and beating you to your spot.

KEY #2 - Foot Seal/Cut Off (Low Pick Up)

Stay away from crossing the ball over on your last dribble. Instead, pound the last dribble hard, press the ball to the floor, and then pick it up with both hands.

KEY #3 - Crossover Dribble Mistake (Low Pick Up)

Lets make sure we take our last dribble same time as our inside foot step in order to have an option to take 1 or 2 steps after our pick up.

KEY #4 - Last Dribble Step (Low Pick Up)

Use Swing Step option on a Low Pick Up to beat defender thats in front of us.

Alternative Option: Swing Step Low Pick Up
