Yoga Teacher

I believe that teaching yoga is so much more than calling out poses. It's the establishment of a spiritual and emotional connection between teacher and student. Every time I am with a group of students, my ultimate goal is to create an all around yoga experience that will be remembered. From carefully crafted and engaging playlists to intelligent sequencing and positive affirmations, the experience you'll receive will be like no other! I have always been a passionate athlete… From playing basketball and running track in high school in Texas, to being a scholarship hurdler at Texas Tech University. I first found yoga in 2010 as a way to relieve chronic back and neck pain. From the time I walked into my first vinyasa class, I was obsessed with the emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects of this practice. I am a practitioner of Ashtanga yoga, yin yoga, and Vinyasa flow and have trained with Tiffany Cruikshank, Kino McGregor, and Kerri Verna. I received my 200 hour teacher certification from Karmany Yoga-Dallas-Dallas’ #1 yoga studio, as voted by D Magazine. In addition to teaching yoga, I am a lululemon Summit Ambassador and hold a Doctorate degree in molecular biology. I’m also an avid half-marathoner and a passionate world-traveler! Goals
My goals for you are to increase mental, physical, and spiritual strength while finding mindfulness in your practice that carries over to your every day life! Along the way we will try cool and fun poses, definitely break a sweat, and develop mad flexibility on the way!
Training Requirements
My workouts can be done anywhere-from your home to your fav park! I would highly suggest a yoga mat so that you don’t slip on hard floors, a strap, and a block. Also make sure to have a towel for when you break a sweat and always have water to stay hydrated!
Accomplishments
I have been a student of yoga for over 11 years and have been teaching for over four years! I teach a very popular power flow class locally and also travel around the US to teach at festivals and studios. I am also a lululemon summit ambassador, meaning that I am one of a few select ambassadors that has been chosen for further development within the company! In addition to teaching yoga, I hold a PhD in cell and molecular biology and have also completed several half marathons!
