Welcome! This is your intro to yoga, a series with mini tutorials, breakdowns of the basics, short flows and tips & tricks to maintain a consistent practice at home. This is how I’ve cultivated a strong practice of my own. I hope it helps you get started and inspires you to show up for yourself consistently. I encourage you to use a journal to document your process, especially if you’re working with an injury so you can document your breakthroughs. Ot’s taken time but I’ve regained mobility in my knees after 4 knee surgeries, unlocked my wrist after having hardware put in and recovered from a few fractured vertebrae using the techniques in this series. I hope you enjoy and find this series helpful.

About Nick Makuch

Online personal trainer

I am a yoga teacher who is passionate about wellness and inspiring others to find their yoga practice. As someone who’s experienced four knee surgeries, a broken neck & back, a wrist operation and several broken bones I thought my body was destined to be less mobile, more achy and in a constant state of discomfort but I was wrong. I’ve overcome the odds, shocked doctors and have blown my own mind with a consistent yoga practice. I want to change the minds of those who think there’s no hope. In 2019, I traveled to the holy city of Rishikesh for my first training. In June of 2022 I went back and have since furthered my learning with Kayla Nielsen; accumulating 900 hours of training in ashtanga & vinyasa yoga. I’ll be sharing a mix of full length flows, short flows, mindfulness practices, and what’s helped me on my recovery journey. I look forward to seeing you on your mat.
