My fitness journey started when I was in the lowest point of my life.
I had just gotten out of an extremely toxic relationship where I ate my feelings and forgot how to take care of myself.
I forgot how much of a bad a** I really was.
Let me tell you, when I first started going to the gym, I had NO idea of what I was doing or how to use any of the machines. I felt so insecure, uneducated and unmotivated, but I got on Instagram, I started following other strong figures who had been through similar situations and the before/after pictures always impressed me.
I started recording myself every single day. Not to show anybody else, but to just work on my form and make sure my basics were on point; form is everything.
I started doing cardio to get rid of the body fat, but when I got too skinny and realized I needed to put on some serious muscle, I had to learn how to feed myself properly in order to grow.
I took two nutrition courses in college and started picking the right things that nourished MY body properly and fueled me enough to not only grow more lean muscle- but also have more energy and have a lower body fat percentage.
Yes, losing the weight was hard but maintaining my body and molding it to become what it is, was even harder.
Since then, I’ve had such a passion for fitness and I’ve seen and been a part of so many transformations and i’m always happy to start helping someone else in their journey.
