Movement Guide & Artist

My aim is to find easier ways to live in my older body. As a 53-year-old woman my movement practice is one of the most important ways of looking after myself. I want to stay STRONG and move with more ease. This practice keeps evolving with my changing body. I've been guiding people in the art of movement for over 16 years. I’m a qualified yoga guide and soon-to-be qualified personal trainer. I incorporate fascia roll-out techniques and weight training in my classes. I do my best to make you feel comfortable and super capable in your practice. We will work hard, but my guidance is light-hearted. For me it all revolves around learning to really listen to your body and what it needs at any given moment. I share my practices so that you can stay strong and flexible, without forcing your body to move in ways that don’t benefit it in the long run. You will also become more mentally resilient.

What makes your app different? Will it work for me?
Just like there are many different movement practices and different places to train at, you need to find what works best for you! Which means you need to explore and experiment. What sets this platform apart is the fact that you can let me know what your needs are and then I can create new content specifically for you. You become part of the pack, which enables you to message me directly if you have any questions, feedback, or simply want to chat. Not only do you have access to all my practices, but also to those of other creators. I will be there for you. All you need to do is SHOW UP for yourself as best and as often as you can without judgement.
I'm a beginner, is your app for me?
No matter where you are in your fitness journey, I am here to support and hold space for you. Workouts and programs posted in my app are for any level of fitness (if you have been given the go ahead by a medical professional). I will walk you through all the exercises with easy-to-follow videos and some simple written instructions. You can take your practice real slow to get a feel for it, and as you start getting stronger you can add more - always checking in with how your body feels while exercising. It’s about learning to listen to your body and create a practice that is sustainable and progressive.
Do I need equipment?
It all depends on the practice! Most of my practices just need a Yoga mat/towel. For the roll-outs you will need one/two tennis balls and for the rest, you can improvise. In the place of dumbbells/barbells/kettlebells you can use a backpack filled with tinned food or books, or plastic bottles filled with sand or water. We do our best to make these movement practices work for you without having to buy stuff. There’s something for everyone — regardless of equipment — to help you create sustainable movement practices that you and your body can evolve around.
