Hey I’m Parker, the founder of My Parkour Spot. My parkour journey started at 10, when I discovered parkour through YouTube. I spent countless hours watching videos, learning the basics in my grandparents’ backyard, and falling in love with the sport. When I was 12, my papa built me a vault box and my mom bought me a set of connectable skate ramps which took my training to the next level! When I was 15, I met Coach Tommy through my local gym in Ocala, Florida. My mom brought me to Balcony Sports to make friends and learn in a safe environment. Coach Tommy helped me understand progression, refine my technique, and take my passion for parkour to the next level. Through my coach, I found my way to Urban Youth Park, where I now work— Empowering children & building communities via parkour thanks to the wonderful guidance of Jessica & Nik. At Urban Youth Park, I have been blessed with the opportunity to: 1. Learn how to keep students safe while pushing progress 2. Create countless tailored setups and challenges for our students 3. Help develop parkour equipment, curriculums, and systems WHY MY PARKOUR SPOT? I know firsthand how important it is to have a place to train and videos to follow—especially before finding a gym or a coach. That’s why I started My Parkour Spot: to give everyone access to high-quality, at-home parkour equipment along with an interactive online learning process.
