Welcome to the Michael Andrew Swim Academy! Growing up my family didn’t believe in the traditional way of doing things! We believed that the pursuit of excellence didn’t have to be mind numbing, and unenjoyable. As an age group swimmer I rewrote the record books, by breaking over 100+ National Records, the most in history! This was all achieved with intentionality, and lots of learning! Early in my career my coach/father had discovered a method of training that would ultimately revolution the sport of swimming, and help me achieve my dreams. Since then I have achieved World Champion at 17, World Junior Records in multiple strokes, and Olympic Champion at the age of 22! I’m fortunate to have learnt some incredible lessons, and experienced so much the sport has to offer. Now I have the honor of getting to share all of our discoveries, and new findings with you as I continue on my journey, as an Olympic athlete! I don’t only want to be the best, I want to help you to be your best!

Do I need to purchase equipment?
It depends on the workout! Playbook has a lot of workouts that require no equipment. We also have workouts that require minimal equipment (like dumbbells or a yoga mat) and some that require weight-lifting machines. There’s something for everyone — regardless of equipment — to help you get in shape.
