I am a yoga teacher, shamanic energy medicine practitioner and writer living in the Bahamas. For a long time, although I lived in paradise, I had difficulty appreciating the beauty that surrounded me because I wasn’t happy within. I battled with depression and the haunting of years of compounded wounds and trauma. Yoga was responsible for pulling me out of depression and I was propelled down a path of healing. This path has been slow and challenging at times, as many wounds have been brought into the light and carefully tended to. Now I am answering the call to be a guide for others on the healing path. Over the past seven years I have studied various healing modalities. My teaching has evolved to encompass elements of various traditions including Tantric Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda and Vedic Astrology, practices of the Q’ero shamans of Peru, Japanese Reiki, and Chinese Tai Chi, Daoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to take these profound teachings online and connect with you, wherever you are in the world. These practices truly are life changing, but you are free to take them as lightly or as in-depth as you wish. I always say that yoga is the gateway to the world of healing, so the first step is showing up on your mat. I look forward to having you with me on this journey.
Goals
These classes will help you to calm the nervous system, create a sense of grounding, and find peace of mind in a chaotic world. You’ll connect with your mind, body, and breath - aspects of ourselves that we are often out of touch with. These practices were designed to build and maintain energy (prana), so you can flourish in your daily life.
Training Requirements
For yoga classes you’ll need a yoga mat. Suggest at least one block for support during practice and for seated meditation and breathwork, and a bolster for Yin and restorative classes. Optional - meditation cushion and blanket.

I've never practiced yoga before, is this a good option?
Yes absolutely! There are classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced practitioners so you can get started right away, wherever you are at. Look for upcoming programs that will help to start or to propel you on your yoga path. There will be new programs and classes added regularly.
Do I have to be flexible to practice yoga?
A common misconception is that you need to be flexible to practice yoga. In these practices, our goal is NOT flexibility. We aren't working to put our foot behind our head or master the splits. These practices are about healing stress and anxiety, connecting with your mind, body and breath.
Do I need to purchase equipment?
The only thing you really need is yourself. A yoga mat is suggested for any posture practices in order to have some grip on the floor. Yoga blocks are also suggested, but not necessary. If you don't have a bolster, you can use a large pillow from your home.
