Kicking Accessory Exercises

Get started today!

Here are some useful kick accessory exercises I always use when I want to improve my control when kicking. I’ve put them into workouts of 20 secs on 10 secs off; 3 rounds. You can see me doing the exercises with you, but by all means go at your own pace. I just wanted you to be able to see a constant demonstration.

About Lucy Cork

Lucy Cork - Stunt Performer and Coach

Hey I'm Lucy Cork! A stunt woman for the last 10 years and ready to share some things I've learnt along the way. I started my stunt journey at the age of 19, I started with kickboxing then went onto Muay Thai, Boxing then included weapons and many more! I have worked on a lot of movies including: Mission impossible 5/6/7, Hobbs and Shaw, Back in Action, The Union, Assassins Creed, Stars Wars, Wonder Woman and more! I have stunt doubled for several actresses including, Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Cameron Diaz, Eiza Gonzalez, just to name a few. I do a lot of fighting for films; this tends to be quite different to fighting for combat, so if my technique differs from that of others, it's most likely as it works well on camera as opposed to the ring or octagon. I participate in numerous fighting styles and I'd like to share them all with you. FOR YOU TO CREATE YOUR VERY OWN STYLE! The main difference between fighting in the ring as opposed to performing for camera, is we usually exaggerate movements for it to look good on camera; this also tends to be quite taxing, and therefore a great workout too! I’ve divided my tutorials into a 'Skills', 'Drills' and 'Workout 'categories for you to follow. We learn the skill, then drills are there to cement the learning of the movement. We'll then do some fun sweaty workouts! If you have a bag for these, that would be great, as hitting a bag is one of the best ways to put these new skills into practice! I'm absolutely loving doing these, so please message if you would like to see anything in particular, or anything you think would be helpful for you. x
