Kettlebell Yoga 1

with Lizette Pompa

All you need is a kettlebell and a yoga mat. This program is designed to help you start using a kettlebell. If you want to start incorporating weight to your yoga practice, kettlebells are a perfect place to start. During these 2 weeks, these seven classes will move you through different Yoga flows using a kettlebell to boost your energy, load your practice and build strength. Great for yogis who want to bring a bit more strength to balance their flexibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this program for?
For anyone who wants to build strength in just 15 minutes a day or start combining weights with their yoga practice.
What do I need to participate in this program?

You need a kettlebell. If this is your first time, I would start low — anything from 9 to 13lbs works. You also need a yoga mat.
What if I don't have a kettlebell?
You could still do the class without one and get good results or use a dumbbell.
How to schedule the program?
You will have to train 3-4 times a week. I recommend at least 2 days of rest where you can still practice yoga of do any other activity you like.
How to do the workouts?
I recommend you do a quick full body dynamic stretch and mobility routine. It shouldn’t take more than 5-7 min then you are ready to grab you kettlebell and begin.

First time! It was fun to integrate the weight into these poses. Felt familiar but challenging. Those squats really targeted my abs. And! I’m happy to report my ankles have gotten a lot stronger and more flexible since I started working out with you in November! I was able to squat in that position and not struggle with my ankles! Yeah!
