About the program

This IS the program that will get you your first pull-up! Dedicate yourself to a consistent practice, staying in each of the four phases for as long as needed to feel accomplished and ready to move forward. Each phase includes two dedicated workout days focusing on back, grip, and core strength. These two days are designed to replace your existing "back day" workouts, seamlessly integrating into your current fitness schedule. If you don't currently follow a workout routine, consider joining my Playbook channel for additional guidance and a complete workout schedule. The duration of each phase isn't fixed; it can take anywhere from one to four, or more, weeks. The goal is to master the form and build strength before moving on. This ensures you stay injury-free and end up with a beautiful, powerful, confident pull-up! Once you have reached your goal, feel free to go back a few phases and add weights to the exercises so you can build greater strength and rep out pull-ups to your heart's content. This program offers simple nutrition tips, breathwork, recovery, and visualization practices to strengthen body, mind, and spirit. You will be doing pull-ups in no time!!

Hi there! 👋 So, picture this: I'm 50, fit and feeling fabulous - 6 pack abs, able to do pull-ups, pistol squats, a one-arm push-up (on the left side, still working for that right side) Then BAM! Perimenopause hits like a surprise party I didn't want. For me, it meant 3 inches of belly fat in 3 short weeks, then navigating some unexpected and very undesirable things like anxiety/depression, panic attacks, brain fog, body composition changes, and extreme fatigue for the next 2 years. I couldn't work out, physically or emotionally. I lost all I had gained - the abs, the push-up, the pull-ups, and the pistols. Frequently asked questions

How is THIS pull-up program different?
The workout is likely similar to most in that it offers nutrition tips, prehab/decompression work, and progressive exercises for back, core, and grip to build the strength needed to pull yourself up to the bar. It differs from all others in that there is a focus on breathing correctly during the workout for optimal performance AND correct breathing to promote recovery. If you don't recover, strength building will be slow and injury is likely. I also teach visualization - a powerful technique to build a skill off-bar. These two practices will help you accomplish your pull-up goal efficiently, and when they are added to your daily life, you will see your health and well-being soar!
How many days a week is this program?
This program provides TWO workout days a week. The intention is that they take the place of the two back days in your current program. If you don't have a current program, you can subscribe to my Playbook channel, where I have many options to choose from. Do I need equipment for the pull-up program?
Yes! You need access to a pull-up bar. I also include TRX and cable machine work. A gym should have all these things if you don't have them at home. Bands are needed for pull-up assistance, or A pull-up machine. Even a partner can help you, though it can be tricky with a partner because you can't measure the amount of assistance.
I’m a beginner, is this program for me?
No matter where you are in your fitness journey, this program can help you succeed. The program is designed for all fitness levels, with guidance every step of the way. You’ll be provided with easy-to-follow videos and clear instructions, ensuring you can perform each exercise safely and effectively. You will have a place to keep track of your progress so that you can be sure to increase your resistance over the weeks in order to improve your strength. As a beginner it just may take you a little more time to get there, but you WILL get there with consistency and hard work.
