Hello there!
Whether you’re battling physical struggles or chasing new fitness heights, I’m thrilled you’re here. As a trainer/nutrition coach for years, I’ve learned the hard way that health is far more than lifting weights and eating right. My journey through a massive disc injury, the pandemic aftermath, empty nesting, "The Change," living with an anxiety disorder (which I now affectionately call the Gift of Anxiety due to the huge knowledge dump I experienced), and simply my immersion in the ever-increasing collective stress that seems to permeate our planet, taught me this: your body is a tapestry reflecting your inner world – your thoughts, moods, and nervous system state.
Ohh! That's good! What the heck does it mean?
Those unexplained aches or conditions? They're messages. When we listen and respond, we thrive. When we don’t, symptoms appear and stick around. That's why I embrace a holistic approach, integrating:
Body: Our physical being.
Mind: Our thoughts & mindset.
Spirit: Our breath, emotions, & core beliefs.
They’re inseparable! When one hurts, it impacts them all, creating cycles of stress, limiting beliefs, and more symptoms.
I experienced this firsthand. In just a few short months, I found myself losing my physique, my strength, and my function. The energy and desire to work out vanished, and along with them, my joy, positivity, and passion for life. I sank into debilitating anxiety, profound depression, and frequent panic attacks. It was during this incredibly difficult trial that I learned where my "fitness" truly lies! It isn't just about a six-pack, a perfect pull-up, or crushing a met con workout; it's about inner resilience and peace.
Do I want those physical markers back? Heck yeah! I’m still a fitness enthusiast at heart! But my approach to achieving them now is profoundly different from the "Type A," "I-have-to-be-the-best," and "my-physique-displays-my-worth" mindset I used to operate from. That old way was exhausting, damaging, and ultimately unsustainable.
Now my passion is to share this sustainable, life-giving approach. I offer tools for you to use (that's key! You can know the tools, but you have to pick them up and USE them!!) so your mind is calm, your spirit is joyful, and your body thrives with ease.
