Frequently Asked Questions

Can I practice these classes if I've never done yoga before?
YES! This is the perfect place to start.
Will you focus on traditional alignment?
Yes! I will also a variety of variations so you can get comfortable choosing what's best for yourself in faster paced flows.
Do these classes teach me how to follow your specific style of teaching, or ALL kinds of yoga?
A little bit of both. Because we're working with the foundations, I speak mostly to traditional alignment that can be seen across many schools of yoga. If I'm getting into something that I teach in a particular way, then I'll make sure to name that so that you know you might see something different in another class.
Do I need props?
Sometimes! It's best to have two blocks if you're just starting out.
What is the pace of the classes?
These classes are slower than usual. We take time to stay in the posture or the sequence for awhile to ensure you understand how it works, and where you're meant to feel sensation.
Once I feel comfortable with these classes, where do I go next?
You'll be ready to join a beginner level public class! If you stay with me here on the app, you can move on to the Beginner/Moderate section. The Gentle section will also have classes accessible to you.
