Hi I’m Katie! I am a certified Pilates teacher through the 750 hour Pure Body teacher training program. I have a Master’s in Movement Science from the University of Michigan and a BFA in Dance from Point Park University. My background is in dance and through dance I fell in love with Pilates. Pilates taught me body awareness and better control over my movements in order to prevent injuries. So naturally I wanted to teach Pilates to help facilitate the same changes for my clients. Through my channel you’ll receive access to workouts that are geared towards improving functional movement patterns, enhancing mobility, and increasing core strength. I will share full Pilates mat workouts as well as shorter videos with a specific focus. All workouts will be accessible to your body in order to work towards your individual goals.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a mat?
A mat is not required, but if you only have a wood floor I would suggest to use a towel or blanket to protect your back. A carpet works fine just be barefoot to prevent sliding in some exercises.
Do I need previous Pilates experience?
No, absolutely not. Beginners are very welcome to try my classes. Some things will make more sense than others, so feel free to reach out if you become stuck on an exercise. Happy to help! Pilates is for everybody!
