To preface, you cannot dramatically change the way you look in 6 weeks. For me it has taken months to years to achieve certain goals when it comes to my fitness journey. That being said, if you are consistent with both your workouts and nutrition you can absolutely see progress in 6 weeks and build a great foundation to continue to workout throughout summer and the rest of the year!!
During this 6 weeks we will be focusing on building lean muscle while losing body fat simultaneously. Since muscle is denser than fat, although you will look like you are losing weight, the number on the scale may stay the same or even go up. AND I DON’T WANT THAT TO SCARE YOU!! I want to help shift your mindset on progress to measuring progress by how you look and feel as opposed to obsessing over the number on the scale! So take progress pictures and if you have access to an InBody scanner or any scan where you can see body fat percentage and lean muscle mass, that is a way better and ‘healthier’ way (in my opinion) to measure progress.
This program is designed to be a 5 day split however it can also be modified to a 3 or 4 day split:
— 4 day split: skip the cardio & core day
— 3 day split: each week pick only one upper body and one lower body day then the following week swap which ones you choose! For example: week 1 —> lower body 1, upper body 1, cardio & core | week 2 —> lower body 2, upper body 2, cardio & core
