This is your normal cut when coming off of a down screen to catch and shoot.  I want to focus in on footwork and how to create space to get your shot off effectively every time.  Make sure you turn your foot and attach the ball!  We will make 25 mid range and 25 threes from the right wing, and 25 mid range and 25 threes from the left wing.

When coming off a down screen focus on three main things.  Attack the ball, turn your foot towards the basket which squares your shoulders, then elevate and follow through.  This can be such a deadly shot for you if you can master it.  You’ll be very valuable to a team if you can make this consistently

Day 1- Regular cut

Good drill. Pretty difficult to do without a partner, though.

Day 2- Straight cut

Had some people help this time and it was way easier. If my defender cheats under on the screen, can I flare out for an open three?

Day 3- Curl Cut

I liked that drill. These are also a good way to improve on 3 point shots.

Day 4- Fade Cut

Good drill. I will definitely be able to use it in a game.

Day 5- One dribble shot

Great drill. This series is great. I used a simple curl around a down screen in a game the other day and it got us 2 points.

Day 6- One dribble step back

Great last drill. I do have a question though. What should I do if the defenders switch on the down screen?
