In this tutorial I am going to go over how to do a proper bird-dog. 

This is one movement that I see done improperly all the time. 

The goal is not to go as high and fast as you can with these, but rather to reach your foot and opposite hand as far out as you can while stabilizing your core and hips. Nothing should move (hips or torso) as you use your core to pull your knee and elbow together.

The goal is to stay as still and stable in your your position as you move only your extremeties.

Yes! I found myself yesterday holding my breath (always have, especially when I was trying to keep my core engaged) but I kept catching myself and telling myself to breath.

What a great way of providing feedback to better understand and reinforce diaphragmatic breathing!!! I can’t wait to do this daily for a few weeks/months to see if it really can help me reprogram my normal breathing!
