There will be tons of videos on this because it’s important and the more variations you see, the more it will begin to make sense!

Remember IAP is just a fancy word for pressure. Pressure in your abdomen.

Uncontrolled IAP is what we want to avoid.

It appears visually by: coning, rounding or a balloon pushing up against the belly during movement. It will look different on everyone.

Can also be felt: if you feel your stomach push against your hand, pressure on your PF, leaning urine or pain along your mid line of your stomach or lower abs.

If you can’t visually see: Film one without any engagement vs engagement to have a starting point of the difference in your body.

Two pay attention to how it FEELS.

Three, use your hand to see if pressure is pushing up against your hand. 🙏🏼 if you feel feedback against your hand, chances are your having uncontrolled pressure. We always want our TVA pulling away from our hand.

Yes! I found myself yesterday holding my breath (always have, especially when I was trying to keep my core engaged) but I kept catching myself and telling myself to breath.

What a great way of providing feedback to better understand and reinforce diaphragmatic breathing!!! I can’t wait to do this daily for a few weeks/months to see if it really can help me reprogram my normal breathing!
