This 8-week AFT training program has been specially designed to increase the military athlete's overall score on the Official (since 01 June 2025) Army Fitness Test (AFT). The training program's workouts are specifically designed to target the specific muscle groups and energy systems required to successfully conduct each event of the test, and crush them. This program is completely recyclable, meaning it can be followed more than once for continuous progression, if needed. You WILL NOT find a more complete and comprehensive fitness program to prepare for the ACFT. **This program utilizes a running calculator to calculate pacing goals specific to the trainee. The calculator can be found at https://grittysoldier.com/pages/run-time-calculator TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS: + Every workout is oriented to improving strength/skill for each AFT event. + 45-60min training sessions. + 5x training days a week. + VO2 MAX improvement. + Hybrid fitness heavy (endurance, strength, and speed). + Running improvement sessions utilizing a run-calculation system for individualized pacing. + Assembled and tested by Active Duty Soldiers. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: **YOU WILL FIND EVERYTHING YOU NEED AT MOST (IF NOT ALL) US ARMY/MILITARY GYMS + Barbell w/ 345 weight (Hex or Trap bar is recommended also). + 40lb Kettlebells or Dumbbells. + Pull-up bar. + Drag-Sled or Straps. + Other basic gym equipment.
