This program is designed for beginners in the gym! It is built to introduce you to the functional basics of resistance training. It focuses on the following movement patterns: push, pull, squat, lunge, hinge, overhead press, and core stability. Each week, the exercises will get progressively more difficult, but the movement patterns will remain relatively the same. This gradual increase in load/demand on your body through repetitive patterns is known as progressive overload, and it is the most effective way to build muscle and strength. Rest and recovery are equally as important as the workouts themselves, so they are built into this program as well. These six weeks will give you all of the basics you need to continue with future programs. 

*This program can also be done from home if you don't have access to a gym. Use household objects in place of dumbbells or kettlebells. The only objects I strongly recommend using as the program suggests are resistance bands and some form of elevated surface.*
