A very lost kid from Chicago found himself while deployed to Iraq. The Army Corps of Engineers trained him to build and create structures and defenses, however, building physical and mental strength became his true passion during 2 consecutive tours served overseas.
Upon returning to the US, he earned his BS in Exercise Science from Illinois State University. An internship brought him to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. After years as a performance coach training NFL, NBA, and other pro athletes, he moved on to become one of South Florida's top personal trainers.
Grant read fitness articles written by Marc Megna while halfway around the world. Megna would later hire him to work at his decked-out Miami Beach gym, Anatomy at 1220, in 2014.
Unconventional training is what Grant does best. Mace, Club, Kettlebell, Sandbag, Sled. You name it, he trains with it. Moving with purpose, intention, and control are top priorities. His philosophy centers around the idea that your training right now should be sustainable for decades. If not, there is likely something wrong.
Get ready to build an unshakable foundation
Side note: Grant has a strict NO BURPEES policy.
