Personal Trainer/Lifestyle Coach

Hey you guys! Thanks so much for checking out my page. Before anything, I wanted to formally introduce myself: My name is Gabriella Barrios & I am a certified personal trainer at Selfmade West Covina. I have worked with many clients who have been just beginners in their fit journey, & some who have been training for years. I love to work with different types of athletes male & female! I began my fitness journey in 2017 after having my 2nd child. During this time; I was at my heaviest weight I have ever been. I was severely depressed & felt so lost in my womanhood. I had lost a lot of love for myself entering into motherhood, so I didn’t understand any concept of taking care of myself anymore since i had been so devoted to my little ones. I finally reached a breaking point: where I knew I needed to find love for myself again & wanted to get fit. I began lifting and I never looked back! Weight lifting & HIIT workouts allowed me to find love for myself again. I lost all my baby weight and decided to compete in my very first show earlier in 2021. In doing all of these things: fitness wasn’t just about the way I looked anymore but it allowed me to see deeper into my mind & habits, & allowed me to help other men and women do the same by implementing workouts, nutrition advice and lifestyle coaching. I’ve also been 100% plant based now for 3 years! You don’t have to be plant based to follow along; but if you’re ever interested in living more plant based, I’ll be giving tips and tricks in the kitchen to ease some stress from our daily cooking duties! (I’m talking to all my parents out there lol) I hope to provide some value to you as you begin on this journey to not only better your bodies, but the way we value our whole lifestyle to move better, think better, love better and feel better👍🏼
Goals
My goal for anyone following along: 1. Lead by example by posting my daily workouts for all of you to follow along (body building, fat loss, HIIT workouts) 2. Better understand your nutrition when it comes to either getting to your dream bod or just feeling better 3. Providing vlogs of motivational chats for anyone feeling unmotivated or lost in their life
Training Requirements
Typically, anyone who is wanting to build lean muscle mass I would recommend a gym membership for all of my workouts. We are going to need some machines, dumbbells, cardio equipment etc. if you have equipment at home this can be an option for you to perform exercises in the comfort of your own home. All of my at home workouts will need a yoga mat and booty bands👍🏼
