Remote Coaching

I lost 60 kg over 19 years ago to become the healthiest dad I could be—and that journey led me to compete nationally in bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, and CrossFit. After 11+ years running Strengthtech NZ and coaching 15,000+ hours in-person sessions, I now run Fuiono Performance Training (FPT), delivering remote coaching and corporate wellness programs that help beginners become fitness athletes—anywhere, anytime.

Really enjoyed the structure of this program. The nutrition and meals were easy to follow and the training program was well structured. I think what Project 56 did was provide me with a bigger understanding of balance in terms of food and exercising. I was always in a constant mindset of binge eating and working out to cancel it out. I always beat myself up about it, but having Des always reminded me to be aware a be conscious. And that its okay to have days like that. I lost a total of 5kg and had a decrease overall, but that isnt actually my win. My win is my change of mindset.

FPT is led by Des Fuiono, a coach with over 18 years in the fitness industry and 11+ years running Strengthtech NZ. Having coached thousands of hours on the gym floor and online, FPT now helps beginners become fitness athletes through remote coaching, structured programs, and corporate wellness solutions.
What kind of coaching do you offer?
We offer three main pathways: Programs – ready-to-go structured training you can follow at your own pace. Online Coaching – full accountability with WhatsApp check-ins, video feedback, and program updates. Corporate Wellness – team-based training, nutrition workshops, and workplace health challenges.
Do I need to be fit already to join?
Not at all. Our programs are designed to meet you where you’re at. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone who’s been training for years, FPT helps you progress with step-by-step guidance.
How is online coaching different from in-person training?
Online coaching gives you more flexibility and support outside the gym. You get structured programming, daily accountability, and direct communication with your coach—without being tied to one location or schedule.
