Owwy!!!! Lol I really didn't think I'd make it all the way! Not after practicing last week,  then upper body work tonight but i freaking did it! Took me an hr, the wall walks were ugly and many breaks but i made it! Thanks for an amazingly awful workout Demi 💪 🙃

In the beginning of August, I got into an unfortunate accident that broke both my hip and knee on my right leg, putting my training to a temporary halt. Though I’m far along into the healing process, and my physical state has improved, by no means is my strength at its best, which can be frustrating and admittedly degrading. The physical battle comes no where near as difficult as the war with one’s mind. 
This challenge couldn’t have come at a better time. 
Last time I checked, my abs weren’t injured, just one leg, and I still have the other leg and two arms. My point is, there are no excuses. As I was attempting your challenge today, obliterated core, quivering arms, and a puddle of sweat under me, one single phrase, one that you’ve evangelized, stayed grounded at the forefront of my mind. “The grind don’t stop.” The grind does not stop, even if you’re crippled, and I wanted to thank you that needed reminder. 
I sincerely thank you for all the hard work and dedication implemented into not only these challenges but just about everything you’ve set your mind to. I know that’s the main drive for the things you do: to help people. Your challenge, your work, You! I can assure you it has all been and continues to be a necessary colossal clout for this movement of better bodies and better minds. And I cannot stress the bettering of minds enough. That’s what you’ve done for me here. You’ve provided a conduit, a source of electricity to start up this girl’s engine, and I’ve never been happier now that I’m moving again. The badass car is great, and meeting you would be a dream come true, but that’s not the prize. Although I thank you for those generous incentives and am grateful for them even if they’re not mine, you’ve helped me get myself back. I finally feel like myself again, and it’s non-stop from here. That’s the lifestyle, and thank you yet again for reminding me. There is simply not enough thank you’s in the world, but I suppose it’ll do for now.

That was sooooo hard and so fire!!!! My abs are literally burning, but I'm so thrilled that I could do all the wall walks (not full handstand against the wall so more half rep, but so much further than I ever push myself to do!!) Did 80 leg lifts + 120 cable crunches plus squats and I'm feeling strong and so excited for Day 2! 💪☀️💛

It was harder then I had expected, but it felt great!

It's officially day 1 of the Apex Abs Challenge and I'm beyond excited to get started!! 😍

Today's workout is 1 circuit and 1 superset. No equipment needed!

For the first circuit, you'll complete one exercise, rest for 60 seconds, then move onto the next until you've gone all the way through. Then you'll repeat everything for a total of four times. 

After that circuit is done, you'll turn up the heat a little bit and move onto the superset! A superset is when you do each exercise back to back without resting. Once you've completed the exercises, you can rest for 60 seconds before completing the rest of the rounds.

Remember, these exercises are meant to be added onto your current training! I always recommend to add them to the end of your workout, so your body is already warmed up and ready to go! 💪

-Get into a push-up position 
-Hold the plank on your hands for time

High plank hold

-Start in a push-up position with your feet on a wall
-Walk your hands towards the wall as you walk your feet up the wall at the same time until you are in a handstand position
-Lower back to the starting position 
-Repeat

Wall walks

-Start in a psh-up plank position
-Lower one arm at a time to your elbows
-Return one arm at a time to your hands
-Repeat

Plank up downs

-Get close to a wall facing away from it with your hands on the ground
-Pop your feet up onto the wall
-Drop down with a tuck and repeat

Wall burpee

Circuit

-Start in an elbow plank position
-Rotate your hips and tap them on the grounds from side to side

Hip dips

-Start on your hands and knees
-Lift one leg and the opposite are out to full extension
-Return and repeat to the other side

Bird-dogs (15 each direction)

Superset

Got to 110 with a weight. Having to double up because I missed a few days so this was after another an workout. Phew

It was really hard to do those sit-ups because it felt like neck strain so I had to end up sticking my feet under the dresser to do the rest from 60 on. I only got 107 but I'm happy to have a baseline. The walk was good and relaxing but I increased the challenge by carrying a brick I found about 2 mins in. The plank. Way below my PB of past so 1.44 is again. Baseline.

No weight 172 sit-ups, 70 second plank and a 30 minute jog with a dog, followed by a hammock swing outside in the trees ❤️

Didn't get to comment last night! 161 Sit-Ups, 1min 27sec Plank. 35min Jog!
