HYROX training is a structured fitness program designed to prepare athletes for HYROX competitions, which combine endurance, strength, and functional fitness. A HYROX race consists of eight 1-kilometer runs, each followed by a functional workout station, such as sled pushes, sled pulls, burpee broad jumps, rowing, sandbag lunges, and wall balls.
HYROX training focuses on improving cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and power through a mix of running, resistance exercises, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). It emphasizes building stamina, efficiency in functional movements, and the ability to sustain effort over a long-duration event. Training typically includes running intervals, sled work, compound lifts, and bodyweight exercises, making it an intense and well-rounded fitness regimen.
