Fitness Coach
After my daughter was born on December 14, 2005, just one day after my 20th birthday, my life changed for the better. Becoming a dad at a young age shifted my priorities from focusing on myself to caring for her and later her siblings. The moment I held her in my arms, I knew that my greatest responsibility was to take care of them.
In October 2013, I started my career as a full-time personal trainer. Before that, I only worked as a trainer part-time on weekends, and my kids would watch me training my clients at my home gym. When my son did a Father’s Day project in pre-school and mentioned that my profession was a personal trainer, I realized that this was how my kids saw me. It was then that I decided that I did not want to disappoint my son.
In December 2021, I tore my quad tendon during an obstacle course race. After my surgery, I gained about 40 pounds. It was the first time I experienced physical limitations in my life. In July 2023, I decided to focus on my fitness and nutrition. I successfully lost over 40 pounds in less than 5 months.
On November 11th, 2022, I got married, and between the two of us, we have a total of 6 kids. Yes, we are the modern-day Brady Bunch. I love being a father and a husband.
My goal with CJ Fitness is to help other families adopt healthier habits and lifestyles, so they can spend more quality time together. My philosophy emphasizes progress over perfection, and I aim to create a supportive community to help promote this mindset.
