Welcome to Macros 101! Macro counting, also known as flexible dieting, is a popular and effective approach that empowers you to take control of your nutrition and make sustainable lifestyle changes. In this comprehensive guide, I aim to demystify the world of macro counting and equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to succeed. Macros, short for macronutrients, refer to the three essential components of your diet: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. By understanding and planning/tracking these macronutrients, you can create a customized meal plan that aligns with your goals and for most of you starting here with me, that goal will be weight loss/fat loss (I will use those terms interchangeably throughout this guide). With this written and accompanying video guide in the app, I aim to simplify the process and eliminate any confusion surrounding macro counting. I have worked to give you as much information on how I work with macros with my clients, and I've also provided step-by-step instructions on calculating your starting macros, and you'll learn how to set realistic targets and make adjustments along the way, ensuring you stay on track to achieve your desired results. Hi! My name is Caroline and I am a Fitness and Transformation coach for women 40+, although most of my clients range from 50-70 years old! I provide no nonsense strength training programs for women who have tried everything else, and are at the age to have the WISDOM to know they need better. No more fad programs, no more fad diets, just strength training programs put together in the organized and strategic manner for which I’m known, to get women the results they want. I’ve also paired this with in depth educational content on Macros and Strength Training Fundamentals. I began my fitness journey when I was the Chief of Staff at the parent company to six film companies in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, so I know what it’s like to be a busy woman. Therefore, my programming is strategic, straight forward, organized and methodical, and each training block is designed to flow from one to the other so that you can finally abandon the “8 week” or “6 week challenges” that never give you lasting results. We also have workouts that require minimal equipment (like dumbbells or a yoga mat) and some that require weight-lifting machines. There’s something for everyone — regardless of equipment — to help you get in shape.
