A few reminders to help you get the most out of this program:
- Focus on good form! Prevent injury & target your muscles effectively. Once you can no longer perform the exercise with proper form, the exercise is done. We are playing the long game here, form comes first!
- Actively contract your muscles! As you perform these exercises, pay special attention to your muscles contracting (mind-muscle connection!) This will help ensure proper form & better activate the muscles, allowing for greater strength & endurance gains!
- Breathe! It’s common to forget to breathe when focusing on properly performing an exercise. Breathe throughout the entire exercise & follow breath cues! Take longer breaks as needed. You've got this!
- Listen to your body & be patient! It may be tempting to hold a position for as long as you can, especially if you’re excited to be getting going. However, this can be unnecessarily taxing on the body & may lead to injury, setting you back. Don’t over do it, utilize the prescribed rest times, take extra rest or recovery days if you need to & remember the goal of this program: rebuild & restore. Progress oftentimes isn’t linear & anything worth having takes time! Keep showing up!
