Do I Need A Gym Membership?
Yes. Unless you live in a building that has it's own fitness facility you will need to purchase a gym membership.
What if my gym doesn't have that equipment?
I tried my best to only include exercises using equipment that's available in most gyms. But in the off chance that your gym doesn't have that one, simply replace the exercise with any other exercise that targets that same muscle group in a similar way. For example, if the exercise calls for Pec Flies but your gym doesn't have one, grab some dumbbells and do some Flat Bench Dumbbell Flies instead.
How important is strength training for swimming?
More and more swimmers are discovering the benefits of strength training. Better athletes make better swimmers. Relying on swimming alone is a sure way to develop imbalances in your body, so it is super important to include weight training as well to train those supporting muscles in ways that swimming alone is unable to.
