I couldn’t imagine a life without fitness. But it wasn’t always that way, 12 years ago it certainly wasn’t. I remember being forced to do P90X at 14 and hating every second of it. Now, I find myself quoting Tony all the time, “do your best and forget the rest.”
Fitness is a journey of self discovery and more importantly, self will. It’s the greatest fight you’ll ever have, because your only opponent is YOU.
Like anything in life, when you first start, the battle is the hardest. But, if you consistently show up, one day at a time, if you keep fighting the fight, it eventually gets easier. You start to win that battle against your inner voice screaming at you to stop.
David Goggins has a 40% rule; “when your mind says you’re exhausted, totally tapped out, you’re really only 40% done.” You still have 60% left in the tank physically. My goal and the goal of ZeroGlory is to win that battle against your mind everyday, to truly tap into that 60%.
Your body is a temple, but it needs a good support system for the mind and the spirit. The mind and the body must work together. If you take good care of it, your body can take you wherever you want to go. With, the power, strength, and energy needed to get there!
