DB Foundations (Upper/Lower) Total Training Time: 60 min or less Program focus/highlights: General Strength Development across 3x DB only training sessions. We will look to incorporate compound DB movements and higher intensity Bodyweight training for a well rounded at-home training experience. General Guidance: Listed sets are WORKING SETS, warm up/build as needed given rep recommendations. All working rep ranges must be self selecting to the best of your ability. This means if you need to make it harder then add tempo or get heavier weights. This program is written in super set format, please complete all like lettered movements before moving onto the following movement block. When sets and reps stay the same, from week to week, the goal is to increast loading. The goal will always be to increase the load, if able, while maintaining movement quality. Add optional 20 min LISS Cardio/aerobic activity to any/all training days if goals require, time permitting. Equipment Recommendations: One set of heavy DBs Bands optional Medicine Ball Adjustments: If time or ability level is a consideration, use listed number of sets as TOTAL sets to perform and shoot for 1-2 challenging sets with each movement. Rest Recommendations: Keep rest short between like lettered movemetns. Rest no more than 2 minutes between sets.

There are so many ways I could start this. Plain and simple, committing to a sustainable physical fitness practice has been the most life changing decision I’ve ever made and has been the starting point for so many positive growth steps in my life. I am so beyond excited to share in this journey with you and take the next steps in our wellness, together. I have been an athlete my entire life. Initially, I found purpose and belonging in sports and community among my teammates. This carried over into my first professional career as an Army Officer. The purpose, belonging, and community even stronger now. Since leaving the military I have gone through a series of mental and emotional health struggles and throughout this tumultuous season of my life, the things that have kept me going are my connection with those closest to me and my commitment to my own physical fitness. We’re all going through something and I hope this program can prove a valuable resource in your fitness journey - physical, mental, emotional, and otherwise. We’re in this together.

It depends on the workout! Playbook has a lot of workouts that require no equipment. We also have workouts that require minimal equipment (like dumbbells or a yoga mat) and some that require weight-lifting machines. There’s something for everyone — regardless of equipment — to help you get in shape.
