TEMPO: 2 second hold at top of every rep

- Bring the bar down and thrust forward and upwards through your heels
- Keep chin tucked in the entire time
- Locked out at the top and feel it in your glutes!

Barbell Hip Thrust

- Start with the barbell across the upper back
- With a slight bend in the knees press hips back and lower your chest towards the ground
- Never extend your neck to look in mirror. Your eye gaze should follow the path your torso takes, always keeping your chin slightly tucked
- Bring chest back up and press hips forward to complete the move. Imagine a hip thrust motion to bring the weight up

Barbell good morning

- Start with a barbell on your upper back
- Step forward with the first leg and lower down
- To make sure we have a glute bias: try to have a slight forward lean (without rounding your back), and when you get lower, bring in your front knee a little bit towards the center of your body to get a full stretch
- Bring back leg even with the first then step forward with this leg

Barbell walking lunges

- Place feet higher on the platform
- Keeping your back flat against the pad
- Lower your legs towards your chest
- Drive through your heels to press back to starting position

Leg Press

- Holding dumbbells at your sides, or the center of your chest like shown
- Use a stable surface, if you can find a hard/flat surface use that instead of a bench
- To put emphasis on the glutes, you want to have a nice forward lean without rounding your back
- Place foot up onto the box and push through your heel to stand up. Don’t use ANY support from the back leg
- Rock forward slightly, shift your weight to that front leg, and push
- Bring the other leg up
- Step down and repeat 
- Work both sides

DB step ups

- Keep a relatively upright torso for this 
- Keep your leg straight while you pull your foot back and out 45 degrees
- Don’t pull back straight like a regular kickback, you want to turn your foot out and to the side
