I have been teaching for several years, while traveling the world. I settled not long ago in Spain- where I have been teaching both in person and online! My background is in vinyasa/ashtanga style, with a 200 hour training completed in San Cristobal de las Casas, Mexico, then a 300 hour training in Rishikesh, India. I have participated in specialty workshops and courses, including: trauma sensitive yoga in Philadelphia with Transformation Yoga Project, an inversion training in Amsterdam with Patrick Beach, an 80 hour yin training with Evolation Yoga, a 50 hour Ayurveda course with WPYS in Rishikesh, and a 50 hr yoga nidra course with WPYS.
My practice has evolved throughout my life, and so has my teaching. I believe in a more free form practice at this point, finding engagement and alignment important, but also feeling into your own body. I’ve been inspired through martial arts yoga practices like Budokon, where a lot of emphasis is put on spinal mobility.
Since having a baby last year, I have enjoyed reintroducing my body to my practice, and watching the transformation take place, both mentally and physically.
I practice lots of pranayama and love incorporating it into my practice and teachings.
I organize and run retreats around the world, with my organization Akna Colective, where we connect creative movement with art & sustainability.
