Stability training is important for your overall fitness and injury prevention. It not only lowers your risk of overuse injuries but also helps prevent accidents that can lead to acute injuries. Being able to control your movements during exercising is incremental for preventing injuries. Stability training isn’t the same as balance or strength training in that there are specific exercises involved. Instead, stability training is focusing on your control during any movement and consists of mostly balance and targeted strength training. Furthermore, it focuses on the timing of your movement and how efficiently your reflexes are reacting to each movement. It’s all about maintaining proper joint alignment for efficient movement. It’s about your movement more than strengthening your muscles. You need both strong muscles and balance to keep yourself steady during any movement, whether it’s as simple as tying your shoes or as difficult as lifting heavy pounds! I like to incorporate Stability exercises at the beginning of a strength workout using them as Movement Preparation or as workout in and of itself!

About Andree Hafley

Online personal trainer

Welcome, I’m Andrée! I’m glad that you’re here and hope that this app helps you fall in love with feeling strong, confident, and healthy through all stages of Womanhood. I’m an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer. I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 13 years and have worked with many women from the ages of 12-85! I’ve spent the majority of that time specializing in Functional Movement and helping clients reach goals of mobility, strength, endurance, weight loss, sports or event- specific training, and more.  Along with various fitness certifications, I also became a Certified Prenatal and Postnatal Coach in 2017. This has been especially important to me because of my personal experience going through pregnancy, postpartum, and Cesarean recovery. I was shocked at the lack of Perinatal support, guidance, and reliable resources in the fitness industry. Not to mention all the conflicting and confusing information online and especially on social media.  This was a disservice to all Moms -so I became passionate about educating myself so that I could better help other Moms on their journey into and through Pregnancy, Postpartum, and beyond. I am here to guide, motivate, and support you through whatever health journey you’re currently in. I promise you will feel confident, safe, and supported through my guidance in any of my programs.  I work with ALL women- moms or not. All are welcome! My passion is to support ALL women to be healthy, strong, and confident in their bodies.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey. You are worth it and can do anything if you say goodbye to excuses, work hard on YOU, and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. We’re going to have so much fun and we’re just getting started!
