What are the goals of the program? The Goal of this 4 week speed program is to build twitchy fast twitch muscle fibers that will allow you to run faster - Hold sprints longer (muscular endurance) - strengthen your entire body / more specifically your core stability muscles + hip flexors + lower body!
Who are these workouts for (skill-level)? These workouts are for anyone who wants to improve their overall athletic ability + their speed! I challenge and encourage everyone to try (complete) this program. This program is specifically designed for athletes working to improve their speed + muscular endurance BUT sprinting is great full body work + will significantly improve your overall strength!
What do I need to participate in this program? Access to a weight room is recommended given some of these exercises require access to specific equipment!
For most of our actual sprint days - all the will be required is your body weight - regardless, complete everything you can / find alternatives for what you cannot!
How to schedule the program into a week? This program should be completed on days you do not have practice - strenuous weightroom workouts! Most of the work we do will be very technical and works best when fresh + energized!
