My name is Brenden Olson. I’ve been an athlete my whole life, competing in the NAHL, USHL, and playing Division 1 hockey at Minnesota State. The locker rooms, teams, and trials shaped more than my game-they shaped my character. I created Iron + Clay to reflect that: a community where we train hard, grow stronger, and build each other up. Kettlebell training completely changed the game for me. It’s protected my body from injury, made me more explosive, improved my mobility, and taught me how to train with real intention. I used to believe strength was just about how much weight I could load onto a bar—but I’ve learned it’s not about the number, it’s about the purpose behind every rep.
Kettlebells have helped me build long-term strength and durability in a way that feels athletic, functional, and sustainable. Over time, I’ve developed a passion and deep understanding for this style of training, and now I want to pass that on. My goal is to help other athletes—especially younger players—train smarter, stay healthy, and experience the same growth I’ve found through this method. Let’s grow stronger—together.
